A real gem. The best head cheese with fried potatoes in the world! Fred and his crew are delightful. We felt wonderfully at home. This will definitely become a regular spot for us.

Very friendly owner. Family-run restaurant with excellent food made with regional products. Whenever we're visiting or on holiday here, we always enjoy eating here. Pension Elke, where we always stay, is just 10 meters away.

A small inn with a fantastic atmosphere. A perfect family business, with fantastically good food and very friendly, experienced, and loving hosts. A uniquely beautiful beer garden designed by the construction company Löhlein Friesen. Humor is a big part of this establishment.

Small, cozy restaurant with a lovely beer garden in the summer. Good food, and the Popp family, who own it, are very friendly and welcoming. Idyllically situated in the Franconian Forest above the town of Kronach. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back!

Unfortunately, it was closed on January 2nd when we wanted to stop for a break during a hike from Beikheim (even though Google Maps had promised otherwise). It looked incredibly cozy – hence the 5 stars – and because anyone who keeps their restaurant open in this area deserves support. Another big plus: a vending machine with wine and beer! This means that even when it's closed, you can still sit in the beer garden – even in the sleet under the roof. Just one request: It would be really great if there was something like a "summer break" notice. Calling isn't always an option, especially if the restaurant doesn't open until later and you're planning to arrive then. (Besides, we don't want to disturb you on your vacation). Hope to see you again soon!
